Why I created Anointed Facial Oil
I created the Anointed Facial Oil to bring professional-level care into a simple, daily ritual.
As the founder of Stillwater Nature Spa, my work has always centered on touch, presence, and nature. Over time, I noticed a disconnect between the way skin was treated in professional settings and the products people were using at home. Much of what was available felt overly complicated, placeless, or simply not beneficial.
I wanted to create a luxury natural skincare oil that could live seamlessly between the treatment room and daily ritual— something functional, beautiful, and grounded in practice.
To bring this vision into form, I collaborated with Tofino Soap Company; a respected local formulator known for their integrity, botanical knowledge, and commitment to small-batch production. Together, we translated my hands-on experience in the treatment room into a formula that is both sensorial and effective, honouring the plants while meeting the practical needs of daily skincare.
Anointed was formulated as a single, intelligent facial oil that could be used as a gentle cleansing oil, a deeply nourishing moisturizer, and a daily antioxidant-rich treatment. It reflects my belief that effective skincare doesn’t need to be excessive— it needs to be thoughtful.
While Anointed includes globally sourced oils selected for their stability, absorption, and skin-supportive properties, its heart lies in three locally harvested wildflowers: Nootka Rose, Fireweed, and Yarrow.
These botanicals grow abundantly on Canada’s West Coast, blooming in and around Tofino from spring through late summer. Each was chosen for its traditional use in calming inflammation, supporting skin repair, and restoring balance. Together, they root Anointed in place, making it a piece of small-batch Canadian botanical skincare rather than a generic formulation.
Anointed is designed to be used with the hands. Facial massage has always been central to my work— not only for circulation and lymphatic support, but for its ability to calm the nervous system and bring the body into presence. This oil is meant to be worked into the skin slowly and intentionally, not applied and forgotten.
The name Anointed speaks to this approach. To anoint is to bless, to mark a moment as intentional, and to turn everyday care into ritual. Using this oil is an invitation to slow down and engage with your skin in a more meaningful way.
Anointed is an artisanal facial oil created in small batches in Canada, intended to support the skin through consistent, mindful use. It is not about fixing or correcting, but about tending— through touch, through time, and through a deeper relationship with the land and the body.
